Pass the toilet paper, please?

On Sept.25, 2013 it was the 10th anniversary of the Canadian White Cashmere Collection fashion show.

This is a fashion show like no other.  Twenty famous Canadian fashion designers put together a collection made out of toilet paper. This was a fundraiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Supporters voted for their favourite outfits, and the toilet paper company Cashmere, will donate one dollar to the foundation.

The tag line for this event is:Designing a future without breast cancer.

What do you guys think about this event?
I think it's such a creative way to have fun, and awareness for breast cancer.

Fab Fur or Fail Fur?

So, I have been discussing the issue of faux fur with some of my girlfriends lately, since it is one of this season top trends. In the past few weeks I have been giving in to this trend, I recently bought a white fur vest, a white hat with a fur pom-pom, and a fur scarf. Of course these are all fake, I don't think I could get a fur scarf for 40 dollars from Indigo..

So we were talking about whether it is 'right' to wear faux fur. Even though it is faux, does it change the impression you are putting out there?

Personally, I love animals. I also love faux and real fur. So this is a constant battle for me. I only own one thing that is real fur, a pair of black and white mittens my grandparents gave me a few years ago.  I love it just as much as I love my faux fur, but I feel bad every time I put them on.

So what do you think about this faux fur controversy?

Nail the nails

Lately I've been researching nail polishes and what is in with this seasons looks.

I'm really liking plums, browns, and reds.

Last week I painted my nails purple with a gold highlight nail. This week I painted them a darker red.

Here are my tips for the perfect mani:

1. Soak your hand in warm soapy water
2. Push back the cuticles
3. Pluck any unwanted hang nails from around the edges
4. File to your preferred shape.
5. Apply base coat, two layers of your colour, then a top coat.

Heres my nails of the week, well of the day, I like to change mine up a lot!

Touques for dayss..

So today is Monday. And it was a rough day. I'm not going to lie, I didn't shower before I went to school. So I used the best quick trick to a bad hair day. A touque. Toque's are the perfect accessory for day hair days, and for the colder season! They can look amazing with a few quick steps!

1. If you have bangs like me, and your to lazy to fix them up, like me, then just pin them to the side.

2. Depending on your hair type, you can straighten the ends, or curl pieces, like I did today.

3. Hair spray like no tomorrow. Don't allow your bangs to come out of that bobby pin!

4. Put the hat on. If you are wearing a beanie, place on your head, tuck your ears under, and the beanie back a little, until you can see your hair line. If you are wearing a normal touque, just place it on your head however you prefer!

Halloween Style

Hey everyone,

So Halloween is coming. For me, it could easily be the best, or worst holiday. What makes the holiday for me is of course, the costumes. Over the years I have seen some pretty amazing costumes. I have also seen some pretty horrible costumes.

This year my boyfriend and I are going out to a party, and we are wanting to do something together. So I googled some options and I couldn't really find anything!

Lets talk colours

I am so in love with fall. I love everything about it. I love the smells, I love the clothes, I love the food, I love curling up under blankets, and I looove the gorgeous colours!

The browns, greens, oranges, and reds are such warm colours that just scream fall, and they all look amazing together.

I try to include at least one of these colours into on of my outfits everyday. I just feel so fashion forward.
